2009-03-21 Sears Rideau Centre
After a morning ride with my buddy, John Ramcharan, and lunch with my son Brandon (“Mr. B” we call him), Mr. B and I drove to the Rideau Centre to visit and ride at the Sears store.
We met one of the store’s managers Naradha Koditu who arranged for our space just outside the store entrance.
It was perfect. Lots of people strolled by. Many approached with big smiles. Some skooted by without connecting eyes. Others approached with curiosity beaming across their face. Many took away information and said they’d visit the web site from which you are now reading. Many donated, or bought a chocolate bar, self-adhesive pad, or sports bandana.
Today, we raised $150.14 and met a lot of fun, hip, happy people.
Mr. B took care of business and photography while I rode for 3 hours. With 6 hours of riding today, we’re starting to get somewhere with the training.
